North Korea is in the year 98 Juche. The calendar scheme was imposed by the communist regime and is based on April 15, 1912 AD, the date of birth of Kim Il-sung, as year 1. Few of the Koreans even remember Korea before communism. Most adults nowadays have been growing up under a totalitarian regime lead by an egocentric leader. Even today kids are growing up in an enclosed world as they cannot go beyond the country's borders and are denied the rights to information, free will and freedom of speech.
